General Track

General Track 

Conference committee is opening General Track for students, researchers, developers, users, and practitioners to submit their work in open-source geospatial software in various fields to foster the benefits of open-source geospatial software. The conference will be having 4~6 parallel streams in a range of subjects from diverse fields. Each individual oral presentation will be allowed about 15 minutes and 5 minutes for Q&A. Poster presentation sessions are a valuable opportunity for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. Poster sessions are in a large room lined with over 50 display boards. Poster sessions are scheduled for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

 

Submission guideline

Only an abstract written in English comprising 500-800 words is required, for which a simplified review is given for conference presentation. Accepted abstracts will be included in Conference USB provided at least one author is registered for the Conference before the 15th September 2018.  However, abstract will not be selected into FOSS4G-Asia 2018 conference proceedings and could not be shortlisted for publication in academic journals. Presenters have freedom to select medium of presentation (oral or poster) as they wish, when submitting abstract.

All accepted presentations will be included as FOSS4G-Asia 2018 conference proceedings in the conference USB.

Please note: There is a separate call for submission of abstracts for peer-review and academic publication in our Academic Presentation process (see the Academic Track Call for Abstract page). Authors can submit the same abstract to both Academic Track Call and Presentation Track Call.
